Group therapy and support groups help people process experiences, reflect on themselves, and understand patterns in a supportive environment. The group therapy circle can provide a special sense of community, connection, empathy and belonging like no other; cultivating personal growth, insight and interpersonal learning though discussion.
Through the receiving and giving of feedback, and learning new skills, strategies and perspectives, participants can heal emotionally and change in meaningful ways which may be more relatable to their external lives than one to one therapy or individual activities.
The collective of the group can also enhance accountability and motivation, helping one another stay on track through encouragement.
The therapy group provides an environment in which to practice social and interpersonal skills, as well as receiving feedback in this area in a safe setting. This has the potential to enhance member’s relationship both with themselves and others in their lives. See below for available groups.

Led by experienced CBT Psychotherapist Jen; we will look at skills, strategies, and tools steering us towards awakening self worth and wellbeing. Tools and inspirations will be mixed with the invaluable advantages of the group therapy experience.
You will be able to connect with others, reflect, give and receive feedback, as well as experience empathy, support and encouragement. Via the group we will start a journey towards learning about the negative patterns in your life and experiencing a happier more contented mind.
Through learning mindfulness skills we can practice presence and connection, implicitly and explicitly nurturing self compassion and self worth. We will also support each other in managing the challenges in life that cause anxiety or worry, and learn when to problem solve versus when to let go and soak up the positives life has to offer.
Once booked you’ll have a 20-30 minute phone call with Jen to check the likely usefulness of the group for you and prepare for group.
The group sessions will take place at Whetstone Parish Council Offices, Cemetery Road, Whetstone, Leicester LE8 6LL.
